Where’s Hondo?

Have you been wondering why you haven’t seen Danilo Hondo in the peloton lately? Me neither. Well, if you had been wondering, it’s because he’s been working off his two-year ban from the sport after testing positive for Carphedon (which sounds like the name of a dinosaur to me) in 2005. His suspension is due to be up March 31.

Even though his sentence is almost up, Hondo had appealed it to the Swiss Supreme Court. The Court dismissed his appeal earlier this month, so Hondo is now back to waiting until April to get back to racing. He’s a member of the Tinkoff Credit Team, which has signed more riders linked to doping scandals than you can shake a stick at.
