Ullrich’s Blood en route to Bonn

Posted By Jessica On 16th January 2007 @ 06:05 In Riders | No Comments

The doping case against Jan Ullrich just gets curiouser and curiouser:

German magazine Focus reported on Sunday that the bags of blood which were found in the offices of Spanish Dr. Eufemiano Fuentes will be turned over to the Bonn, Germany, prosecutor’s office, and that the investigation report has already been delivered.

Just a couple days ago, Swiss Cycling was saying they hadn’t received the paperwork they’d requested from Spain to determine whether Ullrich would be sanctioned. Now, it’s bags of blood that will be delivered to Germany. Ullrich has until the end of January to appeal against the use of his DNA. His attorney says no decision will be made until “shortly before the deadline.”

All these allegations, all this paper, all these lawyers, all this blood… Will we ever see the end of this?
