Chris Horner’s Tour de France Video Diaries

The husband pointed out that VeloNews has a great series of video diaries with Oregon’s own Chris Horner - who is, in turns, hysterical and insightful. He’s setting himself up for a great career in race commentary after he’s done with his cycling years, whether he knows it or not. I think he’s gaining some fans, too, which is cool. I love it when the locals boys do well.

Today’s pre-race video is particularly amusing:

See? Things go wrong for the big teams, too - even if it is just about the bus. And a note about the “contest” they mention between Horner and Dave Zabriskie at the end - apparently Zabriskie suggested they have a contest to see how many times they can say “meow” during their respective video diaries. Dave Z got two “meows” in on his diary this morning, so Horner had some ground to make up. Unfortunately, now that Dave has gone home from the Tour, it looks like the contest is over. Too bad.
