The Deutschland Tour Starts In 8 Days

and its not too late for Cycling Logue to decide to send your intrepid reporter to Germany so he can file first-hand reports! Failing that, I suppose you will have to settle for these video and audio related reports.

This is going to be a huge race with 24 teams of 8 riders each. Twenty Pro Tour Teams and four wild card teams will compete. I was especially pleased to see that Volksbank will be competing. They rode very well and with considerable success in the Tour de Suisse. It seems like they were in every break away and I believe they won the sprinters jersey It might have been nice if Tinkoff could have been invited, but I am looking forward to seeing these other three teams compete for the first time (for me).

I suppose most of the teams already have been announced. I have been so busy following le Tour de France that I have not had a chance to chase those down yet. I might just catch my breath and wait until race day, especially given the rate at which these best riders have been getting disqualified lately.
