Ready for Roubaix

pastryAnd when I say “ready” I mean that the husband and I are ready.

Today we went to a fabulous French bakery in Portland for lunch and left with some lovely French pastries to munch on tomorrow while we’re watching the race. We also will have some company - the husband’s riding partners will be coming by before their group ride in order to watch the last few hours of Paris-Roubaix. The husband and I are getting up at 5:30am in the hopes that we’ll get to see the group go into the Forest of Arenberg. And since I already feel like I’m coming down with a cold, that early-morning alarm is going to suck even more than it sounds like it would ordinarily. It’s a good thing those pastries will be there to ease the pain.
