At long last, we’ve got some big races to look forward to, and a station that’ll be showing some of the action. Versus (the artist formerly known as the Outdoor Life Network) has posted its calendar of broadcasts on its website. Cyclysm Sundays looks like this:

  • Paris-Nice - March 11 & 18 at 5pm ET
  • Criterium International - April 1 at 5pm ET
  • Tour of Flanders - April 8 at 7pm ET
  • Paris-Roubaix - April 15 at 5pm ET
  • Amstel Gold - April 22 at 5pm ET
  • Tour de Georgia - April 28 at 4pm ET & April 29 at 5pm ET
  • Liege-Bastogne-Liege - April 29 at 5pm ET
  • La Fleche Wallone - April 29 at 5pm ET
  • Tour de Suisse - June 11 & 18 at 5pm ET
  • Tour de France - July 7-29 LIVE coverage every morning
  • Paris Tours - October 14 at 5pm ET
  • Tour du Faso - November 25 at 5pm ET

In addition, Versus is also broadcasting daily coverage of the Tour of California this month. The schedule is here. (Keep an eye out for blogger Bob running alongside the Astana team while painted in the colors of the Kazakh flag.) One can only hope there’ll be some meager coverage of the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a Espagna as well, but I don’t see them on the schedule yet. How vexing.

If, like me, you’re not content with the pathetic coverage given to some of the world’s great cycling events - one-day classics and stage races alike - you can sign up for a subscription to the premium channel at Cycling.tv, which shows all the races live. The husband and I watched lots of races last year with Cycling.tv, and the coverage is fantastic. If you can’t attend the races in person, the next best thing is watching the action unfold live.
