E3 Prijs Vlaanderen: Boonen Wins Fourth Straight

By Jessica | Permalink | No Comments | March 31st, 2007 | Trackback

It’s not as if Tom Boonen winning his fourth E3 Prijs Vlaanderen in a row is a surprising result - but at least the race itself was exciting to watch. It was full of star-studded breaks, and in the end at least CSC’s Fabian Cancellara gave Boonen enough of a finish line fright that the former world champ wasn’t even able to raise his arms in a victory salute until after he’d crossed the line.

Here’s where the CyclingNews writeup will eventually be, and here’s the top ten finishers:
1 Tom Boonen (Bel) Quickstep-Innergetic
2 Fabian Cancellara (Swi) Team CSC
3 Marcus Burghardt (Ger) T-Mobile
4 Manuel Quinziato (Ita) Liquigas
5 Allan Johansen (Den) Team CSC
6 Roy Sentjens (Bel) Predictor-Lotto
7 Philippe Gilbert (Bel) Française Des Jeux
8 Baden Cooke (Aus) Unibet.com
9 Stuart O’Grady (Aus) Team CSC
10 Alessandro Ballan (Ita) Lampre-Fondital
