Welcome to the Cycling Logue

Welcome to the Cycling Logue! I am Jessica, your humble servant (that’s me behind the camera at the 2006 World Championships in Salzburg in the photo to the left). I’m a simple fan of cycling who doesn’t understand all the nuances but loves the sport anyway…
I got interested in cycling when I met my (now) husband in July 1996. I had two choices - either I would learn to love the Tour de France or I would be bored out of my skull while I waited for the coverage to be over so we could go on our dates. I chose the former. A 1999 trip chasing the Tour around France meant there was no turning back - I’m a cycling fan, and that’s the end of that.
Last year, I and some other cycling fans I know wrote for the Tour de France Logue - it was great fun, and reading for the posts I wrote taught me quite a bit about the sport. This year, I managed to convince my BootsnAll cohorts that a site that was about more than just the Grande Boucle would be even better - since, as every cycling fan knows, there are plenty of other races that are interesting and beautiful all on their own. So, with the Cycling Logue my goal is to talk not only about the Tour de France and the other races that populate the cycling calendar, but also to help get you there if your goal is to watch a race in person. There’s nothing like seeing a cycling event in person!
At any rate, the Cycling Logue isn’t just about me having an outlet for my love of cycling - though that’s a worthy goal in and of itself. It’s also about you, and about your needs. So if you’ve got suggestions, comments or questions about the Cycling Logue, please let me know. I aim to please.
