Everyone’s favorite: Crashes!

I finally watched that video. It was even more painful than I expected. Fast, technical descents are among my favorite parts of any race. Not because things frequently go wrong but because they do not. It is amazing how many of these highly skilled and trained athletes lose their bikes for little or no apparent reason. Levi in the final stage of this year’s Tour de Suisse is the most recent example I can think of. There was nothing obviously different about that stretch of we road than any other part he had traversed in that attack. He just pushed the envelope a bit too much.
