Cycling.tv Gets a New Look
By Jessica | Permalink |
I’m a big fan of anyone who lets me watch European cycling events live in my Oregon living room. So even though the folks at Cycling.tv weren’t able - at the last minute, of course - to show us Milano-Sanremo, I still love them. The commentators, Anthony McCrossan and Brian Smith, are informative and funny all at the same time, and while they may not have the following of the Phil, Paul & Bob Traveling Circus (yet), they’ve got the makings of a cult following all their own.
Take, for instance, Cycling.tv’s new message board, The Innertube. It doesn’t have a ton of traffic (yet), but that will undoubtedly change as more people subscribe to the service. McCrossan and Smith answer questions from the forum during their broadcasts, so it’s a great way to feel like you’re not just watching a race but involved in the coverage. Well done, lads.
And they’ll soon be rolling out a brand-new look for the site as well. Peloton Jim has been beta testing it, and gives us a preview here. The roll-out was supposed to be last weekend, but it’s been delayed. I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like, especially if it comes in time for the big Belgian races.
