And yes, there is cycling news happening in places other than California this week.

  • Don’t think riding a stationary bike can be dangerous? Just talk to Bradley Wiggins.
  • Protesters in Spain are demanding that the UCI award the 2006 Tour de France yellow jersey to Oscar Pereiro, who came in second after Floyd Landis.
  • The Tour Méditerranéen just wrapped up over the weekend, with Iván Gutiérrez (Caisse d’Epargne) taking the overall victory.
  • We’re midway through the Vuelta a Cuba right now.
  • The Vuelta Andalucía (Ruta Ciclista del Sol) is also halfway through - Max Van Heeswijk (Rabobank) won today’s stage, and Dario Cioni (Predictor-Lotto) leads overall.
