Some news for you to read while you ponder whether to take over sponsorship for the Discovery Channel team:

• So, apparently Floyd Landis is set to publish a book which should be out before this year’s Tour de France begins. Am I the only one who didn’t see this coming?
• The San Francisco Chronicle has an in-depth profile of Discovery Channel’s Levi Leipheimer.
• At least one cycling team is making a big effort to not get caught up in doping scandals, as the needle marks on the riders’ arms show.
• Jan Ullrich will apparently be getting a new Swiss racing license after reouncing his license last fall.
• One four-legged bystander at the 1997 Criterium International wouldn’t settle for just watching the race. I think it’s fair to say this entrant was running on one horsepower.
