By Jessica | Permalink |The Giro riders get a rest day, but I don’t.
- Floyd Landis (or, rather, his lawyers) are arguing his case in front of the USADA. His full presentation can be viewed here.
- WADA will now have access to the files in the Operacion Puerto case, and “has been granted permission to be a party” to the case as well.
- The Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) has asked for “preventative suspensions” against Ivan Basso and Michele Scarponi. I’m not sure what “preventative suspensions” are, and there’s no indication of how long they are, either.
- Caisse d’Epargne says they’ll be investigating their riders who are suspected in the OP case - Alejandro Valverde among them.
- It’s hard to remember sometimes, but Operacion Puerto involved more than just cycling - FIFA wants to see the OP documents now, too.
- Damiano Cunego fell in yesterday’s Giro stage, but his team assures everyone their star is just fine.
- Sometimes it’s okay to be a grown man and to cry - Alessandro Petacchi proved that yesterday. There’s more about his great win, along with pictures of his manly tears, here.
